Local Government Reorganisation Public Consultation

On the February 5th, Government Ministers launched the statutory consultation on options for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) in Kent and Medway. All five proposals that were submitted to Government by Kent and Medway Councils are being consulted on

Note - The consultation closes at 23.59 on 26 March 2026.

After the consultation, Government officials and Ministers will review all responses alongside the evidence in the business cases that were submitted in support of the vaious Options. A decision is expected in the summer of 2026.
