Wilmington and Joydens Wood credentials as rural communities is clearly supported by the number of Public Rights of Way, Resricted Byways and defined paths and tracks across the Parish as can be by accessing the Map on the Kent County Council website.

Although Public Rights of Way are the responsibility of the County Council it is important that they remain accessible and not affected by such things as broken stiles, overgrown vegetation/fallen trees or damaged/missing signs or are being blocked by the owners of the land that they border or cross.

To thius end the Parish Counil is looking for volunteers to occasionally walk the paths near to where they live and report any problems, preferably direct to KCC vis the reporting tool on the County Council's website or to the Parish Council Clerk ([email protected]) who will submit the report.

When making a report, whether direct to to KCC or to the Parish Council, it would be helpful if a photograph of the 'problem' was included.

Please let the Parish Clerk have your contact details if you are able to volunteer to take on this not too arduous role.
