South & South East in Bloom Gold Award

A commemorative plaque celebrating the Parish Council's Gold Award in last year's South and South East in Bloom was today placed on the external wall of Summerhouse Drive Library with permission kindly granted by Kent County Council, albeit for a limited 5-year period.

The above image shows Mark, the Parish Groundsman, who played a major part in the Parish Council's success with the Competition Judge specifically commenting that he 'found it difficult to believe that one person oversaw most of the maintenance' to ensure that Wilmington was 'clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard'.
