How KFRS supports and protects rural communities

We’re inviting you to share your views on our plans to help protect rural residents and businesses from the risk of fire and other emergencies.

With around 85% of land in Kent and Medway classified as rural—and one in three people living in a rural community - it's important you give your views.

Rural homes face unique risks, from flooding and wildfires to timber-framed buildings and limited water supplies. Our plan aims to help people in these communities prepare, act, and protect what matters most.

By taking part in our short survey, you can give your views on:

  • Whether you support our future plans to help protect rural businesses and communities
  • Our proposed changes to the location of a water rescue vehicle in the county

The survey takes just five minutes to complete and closes on 1 October.
